Thunderstorms moved through last night leaving the morning a bit hot and muggy, but at least we were provided a cloud covered sky. Coming from 3 different directions, me, David (my brother) and Mom (Freda) all met up at the City Market in downtown Kansas City this morning. It’s our first outing to the market this year. Local farmers with loads of fresh fruits and vegetables, home grown pork and beef, vendors selling their handmade items, homemade jams, jellies and breads. It is a delight to the senses, my eyes and my taste buds. And Yes, my favorite thing of all is the finger licking good taste testing that I do…like today’s homemade cinnamon roll with walnuts and raisins. Yessiree, yummy!!
Check back throughout the week. I’ll share some new recipes using some of the fresh goods I purchased today. They are crowd pleasers so you won’t want to miss them. Miss some of the recipes in the past? Find them under the Recipes tab on the left hand side. Easy format for readability and printing.
