Working with Scraps

After making a purse or larger item, many times I have just a bit of fabric left. Not quite enough to make anything to large, but not quite enough to pitch. I hate throwing things away that can still be used. This would also be an ideal fat quarter project.

So utilizing some of my leftover scraps, I put together some fabric covered journals this past week. These could also be used as book covers. Just modify the size appropriately.

Tomorrow I’ll post a tutorial for creating your very own journal cover, if so inclined. If sewing is not your thing or you just don’t have time or interest, you can check out my Etsy store or click on the picture below.

Fabric Covered Journals

I have to tell a funny. My black cat Jada is a hoot. Every time I get the camera out to take photos of my creations, she’s right there wanting to be in front of the camera. She is an outright camera hog, a complete ham. I can’t tell you how many photos I go to edit only to see a cat tail swishing through the frame.
