I’ve never made jam before, but my Aunt Louise told me it would be easy for me to do. So I took her up on the challenge. It helped that Price Chopper had local farm fresh blueberries at a $3.79 for 2 lbs. I guess I could have gone and picked them myself but this was much easier!
Next I searched the internet for a recipe that looked simple and fool proof. Found at Blueberry-Recipe.com was this super easy recipe that even I couldn’t mess up. The only suggestion I’d make is definitely use a bigger pan than you think you’ll need. When I got to the part where I was to let the ingredients come to a full rolling boil, I was a tad bit concerned it was going to boil right over onto my cook top.
I do believe I now have a years supply of jam for my breakfast toast. Check out other wonderful picture mosaics at Little Red House hosted by Mary.

what a great mosaic. I think I might have one more picking off my lone blueberry bush. I’ve had many cups of blueberries this year but I haven’t made jam… Enjoy…
What a neat mosaic. I love blueberries and remember eating them with my greatgrandmother on her front porch when I was small. This brought back a lot of memories!
would love to taste your jam…
great pics…
beautiful blue hues!
Very beautiful post.
I love how you took this topic and made a lovely mosaic from it. It is artful.

Hi there,
Becky K. sent me over. I’m glad she did!
I just tried making peach jam last week for the first time. I think i cooked the fruit too long. But i’ll know for next time. I’d love to try blueberry jam sometime. It looks really good!
You have a great blog. Your creativity just jumps out all over it! I love it!
Great mosiac. All the steps included in one picture. How unique. I think I need a slice of bread to go with that blueberry jam. Oh my gosh, it made me think of Grandma and all her jams. I have never made any myself, but I loved going to the fridge getting a jar of Grandma’s cherry jam. It was so delish. Thank you for the memory, and for sharing this wonderful recipe. Please stop by and say hi. I would love to have you visit. Country Hugs, Sherry
Great mosaic! Your jam looks fantastic! So are you hooked on jammin’?
I am
What a great idea putting your jam making photos together on a mosaic. It looks great and that recipe! Bet it tastes wonderful too. You brought back memories mentioning Price Chopper. I grew up in the Capital District area of New York and we always shopped at Price Chopper.
