Welcome to Tablescape Thursday, hosted by Susan at Between Naps on the Porch. I love getting to do up my table all pretty and this week I got to use my brand spankin’ new soup tureen from Home Goods. Isn’t it to die for?
I couldn’t wait to use it! My son is back from a month of work in Germany and of course we had him over for dinner to welcome him home.
Creamy chicken soup was made in the crock pot and then poured into the tureen for serving.
I made up a batch of homemade biscuits, well if you count biscuits made with Bisquick homemade, which I do
The recipe is from a Google search for cheese biscuits with Bisquick. Several popped up. I picked the easiest, which is the way I like to do things.
Oh yes, they were DEEE-licious, every single one of them.
A little butter to melt on those biscuits too!
Good old fashioned goodness. Nothing left over at the end of the meal. Perfect. I’m glad you stopped by and joined us for dinner too!

I love your new tureen and Yes, I count starting with Bisquick as homemade. I know you are glad to have your son back home!
just love your style, your pics are wonderful~
Ooooh soup is on at my house too! BUT sadly no biscuits… only garlic bread.
This all looks so yummy. I served soup for my post too! It’s just “soupy” kind of weather! LOL
I love meals of soup. I don’t have a tureen, In fact I’ve lived a lot of years without needing or wanting one…but 2 weeks into Tablescape Thursday and I want one. I think everything looks wonderful.
