Keepsake Ornaments

My husband works for Hallmark Cards for 28, which means we have a HUGE collection of Keepsake ornaments that we’ve collected over the years. When we pull them out each Christmas it is fun to see the date and recollect that Christmas when the kids were so young, Santa was so real, and the excitement was overwhelming.

charlie brownUnpacking and putting them on the tree is a bit like a trip down memory lane. At times I long for those days of pure childhood glee of Christmas, the uncontainable joy of knowing Santa was coming to visit and that the gifts under the tree that had been shaken so many times would finally be opened and the surprise inside no longer a secret.

Do you have favorite ornaments on your tree that bring back fond memories of Christmas’ past?

I love Hallmark ornaments. I’m decorating my tree with all white and silver ornaments. The white ones are the ones I crocheted with white yarn that has silver metallic in it and the rest is store-bought. I’m going to try to post a picture when it’s done.
Just FYI: I won’t have Internet after the 14th, so if I don’t comment as much, that is why. I’ll be going to the library to compute.
Did Marti’s sweater arrive? I”m anxious to know…

    Oh sweetie…
How sweet is this Charlie Brown and Linus ornament. I love Charlie Brown so this little ornament is just precious. I cannot even imagine having a spouse who works for Hallmark. I would be broke buying all the ornaments that I would see.

I collect the little Eskimo series that Hallmark has had for years, and they are my favorite. I have the little Igloo and the little penquin. I also have several of the grandchildren ones that I have picked up as the years have passed, and we have gained another grandchild. I think my very favorite ones of all are the ones my grown kids made me 27 years ago in Kindergarden. I love them.

Thank you for sharing today. Please stop by and say hi. I love the company.

    Country hugs…Sherry
