Boring

I find when Deb is gone I too often struggle with finding something to talk about on our blog that I think you would find interesting.

Unlike Deb, my life is pretty routine, no pets to manage or clean up after or tell stories about.

Kids all grown and the mess in the kitchen is my own.

Laundry only requires a couple of loads a week.

I spend well over 50% of my non-sleeping hours sewing or shopping for fabric.

Me, I am quite content with this new lifestyle as when I wake in the morning I have no schedule, no deadlines, no boss to report to, I eat when I get hungry and too often in between hunger, nap when I am tired.

So I think you could sum me up as saying, “I live a good life” but to most people it would be boring, boring, boring.

Pictures of my accomplishments while Deb was away.

Beautiful napkins that portray Martha’s Vineyard.

Napkins from fabric named for Bar Harbor Maine.

Now in case I have really bored you…Deb is back with lots of pictures from her garden, probably a few stories, and maybe surprises to share …I just know I am glad she is back ….so please drop by again soon and check what she is sharing!!!

    Freda,

You are not boring! Nice try. Those napkins are very sweet and elegant.

I enjoy both of you ladies and your posts.

I’m pretty much on my own time too – except for the dog and cat, but to me they are a joy and not a responsibility, although they really are, but they are my hobby – besides my family, but other than that, I do pretty much anything I want whenever I want…and I am NEVER bored. I think it has to do with being raised an only child in a non-technology ara without TV, phone, computers and other gadgets…I had to invent my own games and be creative in order to amuse myself. I see a lot of elderly ladies who live here with nothing to do except talk about each other and look out the window to see who’s visiting whom and I simply don’t do that. I don’t even like company that much. I’m perfectly happy being by myself with my pets and my hobbies…there’s so much I want to do, I keep running out of time…I enjoy my life and am thankful that I can march to the beat of my own drum now for a change, except having a boss all my life…

    Enjoy your day!
    Love,
    Doris :-)

CORRECTION: instead of having a boss…I don’t have one now, except the One above!

Oh Mom, you are not boring at all! It’s just that we can’t tell some of the really funny stories on this blog, you know the ones that make us laugh so hard we about pee our pants stories. I don’t think everyone would understand our twisted sense of humor at times, but I’m so glad we get the chance to whoop it up together every week!
