And look at this laundry room for inspiration from Room Remix. Why mine NEVER looks like that, usually because there are at least 5 loads of laundry in baskets, clean cloths completely hanging across the cross bar, extra stuff thrown here and there. I keep thinking when all my children leave home and my husband retires, I’ll paint my laundry room a soft blue. It may make doing laundry a bit more enjoyable…if that is even possible.

Not quite Kelly Green, but hey I love the apple green of this set of dishes. The bottom plates are my “everyday” plates. The salad plates are deep discounts from Pier 1 and the green goblets from Kohl’s.

Green tea candles from home goods. Smell yummy too!

Love the red and blue in the swirls of this whispy floral motif.

The metal napkin rings are Pier 1 purchases too.

The floral arrangement is something I put together with two glass vases I had on hand. The pussy willow branches are snips from the tree in my back yard. Watch our blog this next week for step-by-step on how I put this floral arrangement together.

Thanks to “Tom Kat Studios” we had these cute cupcake toppers for our carrot and walnut cupcakes with green sugar sprinkles. We printed the cupcake toppers on 1.5″ stickers and placed a toothpick between two stickers before inserting into the cupcake.

The white ruffled cake plates are two individual plates set on top of each other (Costco – set of 2 for $20).

A little ambiance for the dessert table.

Pick up, “Kiss Me I’m Irish” or “Lucky You” or “Happy St. Patrick’s Day”. Trust me, they are all delicious!!!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day dear friends!!!!

I had a black wrought iron wall hanger with a pocket in it that measures about 18″ long and was perfect with it’s nice flat back for the project.  Picking out just the flowers I want is always a pleasant and painful task…I want them all so making the choices takes me forever.  I settled on making a pink hydrangea my focal point.  The calla lilies were so pretty I had to have 2 of those and one stem of lilacs, one stem of forsythia, some small purple flowers and some apple blossoms made up my $12.00 purchase.  The hydrangea was $5.00 of that!

I got out moss, styrofoam, ribbon, the glue gun and got to work. Play!!!

In less than an hour I had a new floral arrangement on my front door, the floor swept (I always make a mess with moss) and was wishing I could think of an excuse to hang out in the hallway and admire my work without everybody staring at me!

I had a very sheer ribbon that I tied into a big bow then cut the loops to make a flatter more whispy finished look.

Got the winter blahs?  Making a spring floral arrangement is a great cure!

So today I don’t have a tablescape for a meal but thought you might feel a touch of spring from some of these beautiful new designs and photos.

The beautiful flower pot in these photos is another story…take an old clay pot glue some moss to the outside of the pot for a beautiful old aged look…fill it with flowers, in this case pink anemone’s and you have a marvelous arrangement that just keeps getting prettier with age.

Surely these are giving you spring fever, they sure did me….

Here are just a few others, she did a super job of getting wonderful spring colors and I can’t wait to use some of them, after all they match my dishes:)

Oh I can’t wait to show you this incredible centerpiece I bought at the art show we were at a week ago. It’s a good thing I sold some items so I could pay for this beautiful new Christmas decoration. So please, dear friends, come on in!!!

The “tripod” is a Celebrating Home product that I will be able to use for all year decorating. There is a cake plate set in the middle of it with a wreath of green ornaments and bows sitting on top and a hurricane vase with candle nestled in the center of it. My pictures just don’t do it justice I tell you.

The plates were a find after Christmas last year at Kohl’s. I picked them up for next to nothing and I love how they have creamy white berries and holly on the rim. A casual elegant look I think. Oh and those decadent dinner napkins, well my Mom made those. They have this fabulous gold thread stitching around the whole outer edge.

The stemware is a mixture of old and new. The crystal wine glasses were my mother-in-laws that she brought back from Europe on one of her many trips. They are so elegant and beautiful and I love them because they hold special memories for me. The dessert glasses are very inexpensive garage sale finds and perfect for holding the sweet stuff, don’t you think?
